Wine & Cheese Fundraiser, Council to Meet and Street Sweeping Begins: Week Ahead

Yet another Monday has rolled around and Richfield Patch has a look at what the week has in store:

Council meets for first regular meeting of October

The Richfield City Council will hold both a special session and its regular meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Richfield City Hall and Municipal Center.

Among the items on the agenda include: a presentation by Richfield Public Schools superintendent, Dr. Bob Slotterback, and a discussion regarding the city's 2014 utility budget.

The special session begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Bartholomew Conference Room, with the regular meeting starting at 7 p.m. in council chambers. Both are open to the public.

From the City of Richfield:


  • Street sweeping will begin Monday, Oct. 7. More details will follow.
  • Free wood chips are now located in the Donaldson Park parking lot.
  • Volunteers are needed for the AR&LE Ski/Snowboard program. For more information or to voluneer, call Ann Hoffer at 612-861-9361. 
Richfield Foundation to hold 'Wine & Cheese' fundraiser

The Richfield Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the Autumn Wine  & Cheese Gathering at Woodlake Centre Thursday evening.

According to the foundation's website, the nonprofit is a volunteer organization dedicated to working for a stronger Richfield. Each year the foundation grants money to nonprofit groups and special projects that make Richfield a better and more welcoming place to live and visit. The Thursday event will allow the foundation's to continue efforts to fulfill its mission.

The event runs from 6:30- 9 p.m. at Woodlake Center at 6625 Lyndale Ave. S. For more information on the event, see the Patch event calendar, or visit richfieldfoundationmn.org.
