Little Actors Invited to Take Drama Classes

And other things you need to know this week.

Actors and actresses in Grades 1-5 are invited to participate in the Drama Kids Acting Academy through Richfield Community Education.

The 10-week class series will be held at Sheridan Hills Elementary School and is $110 per child. Here's more on the series:

It's the FUN 10-week class for students who want to express themselves with confidence and take the stage!

Our weekly creative activities focus on building the basic theater skills we will use in our Spring Play Production. Winter session caps off with a parent "informance" of several small group pieces as well as a large group production of "TV HEADS" that will have you nodding in agreement!

Children are challenged to create improvised scenes, make unique characters and take risks to grow into confident young actors. Our classes are fun and super fast-paced to keep young minds and bodies moving.

Click here to enroll in the classes now. Classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 14 and run until March 18.

Here are a few other things to know this week:

The Richfield City Council will hold its first regular meeting of the new year at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
