VEAP Asks Gardeners to 'Plant a Row' for Those in Need
You can help local families with more than just canned goods.
Did you know the local VEAP (Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People) food shelf accepts fresh vegetables in addition to all canned goods?
Well, you do now.
In a recent Patch blog post, VEAP said: “Donating fresh produce gives low-income families in our community nutritional choices which will help prevent obesity, diabetes and high blood pressure."
