Not Cool! Clammy Temps Almost Keeps Richfield Pool from Opening for Summer
Pool's Facebook page went back and forth but ultimately said the pool was open as scheduled.
Our October-like weather almost kept gates from opening at the Richfield Outdoor Pool as scheduled on Friday, June 7, 2013.
The Richfield pool folks sounded optimistic on Facebook Thursday:
Even though it is not getting out of the 50's today...the Richfield Pool will be open tomorrow. Zero Depth pool opens at 11 am and the lap pool opens at noon!
Then on Friday morning the Richfield pool's Facebook page delivered the bad news:
Unfortunately, Due to the weather, the opening of the Richfield Pool will be postponed. Please check back for further updates. We apologize for any inconvenience.

But in the end, the pool opened on time:
With the weather starting to clear, I am happy to announce that the Richfield Pool will be opening at noon today. Hope to see everyone here!
