Here is an excerpt from the event website's explanation of the philosophy behind No Kids Left Indoors:

Through this event, we seek to raise funds to get kids to the outdoors. A condition exists in many of today's youth that has been labeled "Nature Deficit Disorder". ... Children spending time in nature reduces stress, makes them more focused, enhances creativity, problem solving ability, self control, self esteem, improves cognitive ability and improves health.

Although we realize that funds from this event will not cure all of these ills, we believe we have an obligation to the children of our community to try.

  • Fraser School
  • Richfield READY
  • The Optimist Club of Richfield Youth Foundation Scholarship Program
