UPDATED: Costa Rica Bound Students Hoping To Raise Some Cash

A garage sale is being held at Oak Grove Lutheran Church Saturday.

When the original class of students finish their fifth-grade year next June, *some may find themselves shipping off to Costa Rica.

For months parents and teachers have been in talks, and it's officially on the books.

However, as any traveler knows, airfare and accomodations aren't cheap.

As a way to raise funds for the trip, a small parent group is and hosting a fundraiser garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. The donation drop-off and the sale will be held at , 7045 Lyndale Ave. S. For those who like first dibs on sales, for a $5 donation shoppers can get admitted to the sale as early as 8 a.m.

All sellable items are being accepted, however, the parent group, led by , is hoping for some "best sellers" such as tools, costume jewlery, vintage adult clothing, sports equipment, DVDs and electronics. A full list of items is attached to this article as a PDF.
