Beach Zumba, Mountain Biking: Fitness Programs at Three Rivers Parks
You can also compete in a team-based 40 miles of singletrack racing.
Participate in an hour of an effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness party on Monday evenings, June 10 to August 5, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Lake Minnetonka Regional Park, Minnetonka. All fitness levels are welcomed and led by experienced instructor. Cost is $70 and reservations are required for this multi-week program. Saturday, June 29, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Elm Creek Singletrack, Maple Grove, and challenge your team to 40 miles of singletrack racing in a team time trial format. There will be three categories: men’s, women’s, and coed. Teams may consist of up to three riders. Helmets are required for all racers. Awards and door prizes will be awarded following the race. Cost is $30 per-team for those who pre-register and $40 for registration the day of the race. To pre-register and save, call 763-559-6700 by June 26 and reference activity number #323635-04. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Race start is at 9 a.m. This race is for ages 16+and is sponsored by Maple Grove Cycling.

Race at the newest mountain bike course in Three Rivers Parks: the Elm Creek Singletrack. Challenge yourself to 10.5 miles of racing in a time trial format. Helmets are required for all racers. There are three categories: men’s, women’s, and U-17 with awards and door prizes following the race. Races are held Tuesday evenings in June from 6:30-8:30 p.m., at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove. Get outdoors this summer by taking part in adapted recreational activities on Friday, June 14, from 5-7 p.m., at French Regional Park, Plymouth.
