Watch the Metrodome Roof Deflate for the Last Time

The deflation paves the way for the new Vikings stadium.

MINNEAPOLIS—Officials started deflating the Metrodome at 7:15 a.m. Saturday. Thirty-five minutes later, the dome had collapsed to rise no more. The stadium will eventually be demolished and replaced with a $1 billion new stadium.

Check out time-lapse video of the dome deflation above, courtesy of EarthCam, and then share your favorite memories of the stadium in the comments section below.

Bad for football, worse for baseball. Now that Twins don't play there, they suck.

Best memories of the Dome, every time the Packers beat the Vikings. Second best memories, every time the Badgers beat the Gophers!
