Stars Soccer Teams Split With Farmington

Tigers end girls' seven-game win streak, Stars boys shutout visitors on Tuesday.

The soccer teams split with a Missota Conference rival at home on Tuesday, while the Richfield soccer squads netted a loss and a tie in Classic Suburban Conference play.

Stars Boys Soccer

Charlie Koontz scored twice, with Peter McGrane, Sam Brenny, Lucas Ciabattoni and Alex Czachor all netting one goal apiece as the Holy Angels boys soccer team blanked visiting Farmington 6-0.

Adam Roloff made five saves in his 70 minutes in goal, while Danny Urzua stopped two shots in 20 minutes to share the shutout.

The Stars are all alone atop the Missota standings after its fifth-straight victory, as Holy Angels currently sports a 7-1-3 overall record and a 4-0 conference mark.

Stars Girls Soccer

A as visiting Farmington topped the Stars, 1-0, to drop their seventh-ranked hosts out of a first-place tie in the Missota.

Goalkeeper Danielle Mendez made seven saves in the Holy Angels net, while the Stars mustered up just three shots on the Tigers' goal.

Holy Angels fell to 7-3-1 overall and 3-1 in the conference, one game behind Northfield and one-half game lower than Shakopee.

Spartans Boys Soccer

A 2-2 tie at Tartan boosted the to 1-9-2 overall and 1-5-2 in the Classic Suburban.

Obsa Ali and scored for the Spartans, with goalkeeper Eduardo Ivan Chavero Hernandez made six saves.

Spartans Girls Soccer

The suffered its sixth-straight shutout loss in a 2-0 setback to visiting North St. Paul. 

Individual statistics were not made available. The Spartans dropped to 1-8 overall and 0-8 in Classic Suburban play.

Stars Girls Tennis

The Holy Angels girls tennis team lost 5-2 to Northfield to drop to 7-8-1 on the season. Individual statistics were not made available. 

Stars Volleyball

The Holy Angels volleyball team fell to 5-8 overall with a 3-0 home loss to Holy Family Catholic. Individual statistics were not made available.
