The Richfield girls basketball team's rally from a halftime deficit to top Tartan on Friday night highlighted a hoop-heavy weekend that saw both Holy Angels basketball teams in action as well as the Spartans boys hockey squad.
Richfield Girls Basketball: Spartans 67, Tartan 56
After trailing Tartan, 37-28, at halftime, the stormed back in the final 18 minutes to claim a 67-56 victory and sweep the Titans in the season series.

Jessica January scored a game-high 22 points, with Spartans teammates Hannah Wise and Hailey Lindblom recording 19 and 11 points, respectively in the victory.
Richfield, now 17-3 overall and 8-2 in the Classic Suburban Conference (CSC), play at circuit-leading Hill-Murray at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Holy Angels Girls Basketball: Stars Drop Two On The Weekend
The Holy Angels girls basketball team fell to 5-17 overall and 1-9 in the Missota Conference after losing back-to-back weekend games against Chanhassen and Totino-Grace.
Laura Margarit led the Stars in scoring in both games, tallying 23 points in a 51-43 non-conference defeat at Totino-Grace on Saturday and 15 points in a 65-27 setback at Chanhassen on Friday.
Holy Angels hosts Farmington Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Holy Angels Boys Basketball: Chanhassen 72, Stars 55
A 72-55 home loss to Missota Conference rival Chanhassen on Friday put the Holy Angels boys basketball team at 4-16 overall and 0-8 in conference play.
Jordan Dembley, Nick Miller and Sam Kreis each notched 12 points apiece to tie for the Stars scoring lead in the defeat.
Holy Angels travels to Farmington for a 7:30 pm. tip-off on Tuesday night.
Richfield Boys Hockey: South St. Paul 5, Spartans 1
After holding a 1-0 lead through the first period, the gave up five unanswered goals in a 5-1 loss at South St. Paul.
Sam Schrick's power-play score at 4:18 of the opening frame gave the Spartans a short-lived lead, as the Packers scored three in the second and two in the third period en route to the victory.
Richfield, 8-13-1 overall and 1-6-1 in the CSC, hosts Mahtomedi Tuesday at 7 p.m.
