Spartans Girls, Boys Take First in Conference Track Meet

Richfield Roundup is back!

A win by the Richfield girls track and field team highlighted Tuesday's local sports calendar that also featured several Holy Angels teams taking to competition as the spring season kicked into high gear.

Richfield Track and Field: Girls Win, Boys Tie For First In Conference Triangular

The Richfield girls track and field team recorded 78 points to win its Classic Suburban Conference (CSC) triangular meet at Richfield High School (RHS), as the boys tied North St. Paul with 73 points apiece to tie for first place.

Individual results were not currently available. The Spartans travel to New Brighton, MN for the Irondale Invitational at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Richfield Boys Tennis: Spartans fall, 4-3, to Chanhassen

The Richfield boys tennis team fell, 4-3, to Chanhassen in a non-conference matchup at RHS to fall to 0-4 on the season.

Individual results were not currently available. The Spartans host Simley at 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Holy Angels Boys Golf: Stars 18th At Cottage Grove Invitational

The Holy Angels boys golf team recorded a score of 340 over 18 holes to finish 18th at the Cottage Grove Invitational at the Par-72 River Oaks Golf Course.

Individual results were not currently available for the Stars' first competition of the season. Holy Angels is scheduled to play in a Missota Conference match at Fountain Valley Golf Course in Farmington, MN on Monday at 2:30 p.m.

Holy Angels Lacrosse: Stars Boys Win, Girls Lose

The Holy Angels lacrosse teams split their Tuesday games, with the boys defeating St. Thomas Academy 14-4 and the girls falling 9-7 to Owatonna. Individual results were not available at this time. 

Holy Angels Baseball: Stars Win First Of Season

The Holy Angels baseball team won its first game of the season in its second try, shutting out Farmington, 12-0, in the Missota Conference opener at . Individual statistics were not currently available.

Holy Angels hosts Shakopee on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Holy Angels Boys Tennis: Minneapolis Southwest 4, Stars 3

Minneapolis Southwest dealt the Holy Angels boys tennis team a 4-3 defeat on Tuesday. Individual results were not currently available.
