Richfield Runner Wins Section 3AA Cross Country Crown
Richfield junior Obsa Ali finished first in the Section 3AA cross country meet Thursday and qualified for the state meet.
Richfield High School junior Obsa Ali finished first in the Section 3AA cross country meet Thursday at Valleywood Golf Course in Apple Valley and qualified for the state meet.
Ali won in a time of 15:35.0 on the wet and chilly 5,000-meter course.
Rosemount won the boys division with 59 points. Richfield was 11th with 317.

Eagan won the girls meet with 21 points. Richfield girls were 14th with 443.
The state meet will be held Nov. 3 at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
