Richfield Girls Hoopsters Headed for State Tourney
The team trumped Holy Family Catholic Thursday night to become section champs.
After holding a small two-point lead with just six minutes left on the clock, the girls basketball team held on to beat Holy Family Catholic 72-61 in the Section 6AAA title game Thursday at .
The big win crowned the team section champions and also sends the girls to the state tournament, which begins next Wednesday at the University of Minnesota. Game time is to be determined.
