Sophomore Ryder Klopp had a big meet to lead Richfield's junior varsity swimmers in the Classic Suburban Conference (CSC) meet in the Veterans Memorial Center pool in Inver Grove Heights, MN Thursday night.

The Spartans had a second and four third-place finishes in the non-team scoring meet.

Richfield took second place in the meet's final event, the 400-yard freestyle relay. The quartet of Klopp, Joe Fischer, Kenneth Mayo and Nathan Libra finished in 4:00.83.

Klopp was third in both the 50-yard freestyle (in 25.50) and in the 100-yard freestyle (58.19).

The Richfield team of Josh Graham, Joe Hamilton, Mayo and Klopp finished third in the 200-yard medley relay in 2:09.09. Richfield's foursome of Libra, Ethan Hollis, Travis Moore and Raheem Hampton finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:57.67.

Next up for the Richfield swimmers are the section finals, the date and time are to be determined. Varsity finals are Feb. 22 at .
