PHOTOS: Holy Angels Girls Lacrosse Season Comes to a Close

Stars girls lose 20-5 at Edina as AHA boys win at Breck.

The Holy Angels girls lacrosse season came to a close on a cold and rainy Friday evening at Edina as the third-seeded Hornets hung a 20-5 loss on the visiting Stars—an 11 seed—in the quarterfinals of the Section 5 playoffs.

It was a rough night for Holy Angels as the Hornets took an early advantage and seemed to be scoring at will in stretches of the contest as a chilly drizzle dampened the spirits of players, coaches and fans alike.

The defeat concluded the Stars' 2011 campaign with a 4-9 record after the team upset No. 6 seed Minneapolis on Wednesday.
