Friday's TV Schedule for Olympics 2012

Patch brings you a list of the events and the best places to watch the London Olympic Games.

As the London Olympics moves into its second weekend, there are several must-see events coming up.

Because it's not the easiest schedule to find, we're keeping Patch readers posted on what to expect Friday through Sunday. We'll be sure to post each day's events first thing in the morning.

Oh, and if your TV is busted or your significant other isn't much of a sports fan, here's a list of some great local spots where you should be able to catch some of the events:

  • Swimming (1-1:30 p.m.) men's and women's qualifying heats
  • Water polo (1:30-2:45 p.m., women) USA vs. China 
  • Rowing (2:45-3 p.m.) men's and women's single, double and quadruple sculls
  • Cycling (3-3:15 p.m.) track cycling final
  • Track & field (3:15-4 p.m.) 

NBC Sports Network

  • Boxing (1-1:30 p.m.) Flyweight and welterweight bouts
  • Soccer (1:30-3:15 p.m., women) Great Britain vs. Canada
  • Weight lifting (3:15-4 p.m., men) 
  • Basketball (4-6 p.m., women) USA vs. Czech Republic
  • Beach volleyball (6-7 p.m.) Elimination round matches


  • Equestrian (12:45-1:45 p.m.) Team dressage qualifying
  • Badminton (2:30-3 p.m.) All-Chinese mixed doubles gold medal match
  • Table tennis (2:45-3:30 p.m., women) USA vs. Japan
  • Beach volleyball (3-5 p.m.) Spain vs. Brazil followed by Germany vs. Russia


  • Boxing (4-7 p.m.) Flyweight and welterweight bouts

Olympic Basketball Channel

  • Brazil vs. Canada (12:30-2 p.m., women) Replay 
  • France vs. Great Britain (2-4:15 p.m., women)
  • Czech Republic vs. USA (4-6 p.m., women) 


  • Multiple sports (8 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
