UPDATED: Trevor Olson Signs With Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Richfield alum went free agent after NFL Draft weekend.

After a long , graduate signed a rookie free agent contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday morning after turning down tryout offers from the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings.

Olson attended Northern Illinois University where he started in every game—setting a school record for most games played. Olson played for three years under , now the head coach of the University of Minnesota Gophers. Olson, an offensive tackle, is also the eldest son of .

According to the Pioneer Press, Olson felt the Buccaneers had invested more in him and that's how he made his decision. Olson will report to Tampa Bay's rookie/free agent camp this Thursday.
