students hit the streets near the school Tuesday to deliver a little spring cheer and May Day baskets to neighbors.
"The students were so very exicited about doing something for the community," Principal Jodi Markworth said. "I had one second-grade teacher say, ... 'The few neighbors who opened their doors were very grateful.'"
Marworth also said one resident brought in a thank you card Wednesday to thank the students who delivered the baskets, saying the gift brought tears to his wife's eyes when she saw it.
