Richfield to Recognize National Merit Scholarship Winners Friday

Two students will be recognized during Richfield High School's graduation ceremony Friday.

's Thomas D. Hvizdos and Joshua D. Policarpio will get special recognition during Friday's graduation ceremony for being chosen for various National Merit Scholarship awards.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships. With more than 1.5 million entrants (students who take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) from across the country each year, only about 13,000 students being named as winners.

Both Hvizdos and Policarpio will attend the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities this fall.
