UPDATED: Richfield Schools to Be Closed Thursday Due to Cold—Again

Some afternoon and evening activities will go on as planned.

In addition to Richfield Public Schools, the Academy of Holy Angels (AHA) and Blessed Trinity Catholic School will also be closed Thursday due to cold weather.

Blessed Trinity's parent night and open house will also be cancelled. As for AHA, parent-teacher conferences and after school activities will go on as planned.

On Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 all Richfield Public Schools buildings will again be closed due to extremely frigid weather. 

Yep. Kids are getting their third snow day since Monday, Jan. 6.

The National Weather Service is once again predicting dangerously cold temperatures and wind-chills as low as -36 degrees Fahrenheit overnight and throughout the day Thursday. A wind chill advisory is in effect until noon Thursday.

As for Richfield private schools the Academy of Holy Angels and Blessed Trinity Catholic School, no school cancellations had been announced by 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night. Richfield public and private schools all cancelled classes and activities on Jan. 6 and Jan. 7 during the first major cold snap of the winter.
