As a part of Black History Month celebrations, on Feb. 14, Richfield High School is formally recognizing National African American Parent Involvement Day (NAAPID).

NAAPID was founded in 1995 by former educator Joseph Dulin out of Ann Arbor, MI.  In light of the increasing academic achievement gap and lack of parental involvement in schools for our African American youth, Dulin formed NAAPID as a national call to action to get more African American parents involved in their children's education.
