PHOTOS: Richfield Track Teams Compete Against North St. Paul, Mahtomedi
The Spartans took on two Classic Suburban Conference foes at North St. Paul and Mahtomedi Tuesday.
The Richfield boys and girls track and field teams traveled to North St. Paul on Tuesday to compete in a Classic Suburban Conference (CSC) triangular against North St. Paul and Mahtomedi.
North St. Paul won the boys meet with a team score of 86 points. Mahtomedi took second at 62 points, and Richfield took third at 26 points.
On the girls side, North St. Paul won the event with 69 points, holding off Mahtomedi at 68. Richfield took third at 50 points.

On the boys side, Jose Romero finished third in the 200 meter dash with a 23.6-second performance. Jordan Sefon took second place in the 100 meter dash (11.1) and first place in the long jump (20 feet, 10.5 inches). He also finished second in the triple jump at 39-6.5.
Nelson Soto finished second in the pole vault at 10 feet, six inches.

Gideon Ochako took second in the 400 meter dash at 55.3 seconds, and Collin Randolph and Zak Beaudet took first and second, respectively, in the 800 meter run.
Richfield competes at the Section 3AAA True Team meet on Tuesday in Apple Valley.
