PHOTOS: Richfield Skiers Compete in Mesabi East Invitational

The Richfield Nordic ski team traveled to Biwabik, MN Saturday.

The Richfield Nordic ski team competed in the Mesabi East Invitational in Biwabik, MN over the weekend and alongside nearly 1,200 athletes in one of the biggest high school races in the nation.

The Spartans skied in both classic and skate/freestyle races for boys and girls.

placed 53rd in the boys classic, with coming in 95th and Ben Nygaard 128th. Cal Bergen placed 117th in the boys skate/classic, with in 125th and Jon Libra in 133rd.

came in 73rd in the girls classic, with Erin Brault and Erica Strom in 140th and 141st, respectively. took 127th in skate/freestyle, with Alex Schulz in 128th and Hannah Adams in 153rd.

Richfield's next scheduled meet is at 6 p.m. this Thursday at Trollhaugen in Dresser, WI.
