Fraser Students Groove With Renowned French Choreographer

Johan Amselem is currently in Minneapolis as a fellow with the McKnight Foundation.

Seven students and their teachers moved, grooved and giggled with French choreographer Johan Amselem Thursday morning.

Richfield's Fraser School provides childcare and early education for children, with both typical and special needs, through the age of 6.

Amselem is in Minneapolis as the 2012 McKnight Foundation International Artisitc Fellow and is working with local artists to create original work. He spent an hour stretching, joking, dancing and laughing with the students to music on low.

Amselem began dancing at 6 years old and is currently in the process of developing educational dance programs in France. He has also been working with Opera de Paris on a pedagogic program for schools.

See what the kids learned in the photo gallery above.
