Editor's Note: The following information was taken from a Richfield Rotary press release.
Four students were awarded STRIVE (Students Taking a Renewed Interest in the Value of Education) Scholarships from Richfield Rotary for their efforts to improve their attendance and GPAs during the past school year.
Each year Richfield Rotary offers the STRIVE mentoring program for high school juniors and seniors. Students are identified by school counselors as having high potential that has not yet realized. Students and mentors meet once a month for programs that teach life skills and scholarships are awarded at the completion of the yearly program.
This year's winners for attendance were: Christian Benitez Juarez (first place) and Andrea Camacho Castillo (second place). This year's winners for most improved GPA were: Danielle Michaelsen (first place), Christian Benetiz Juarez (second place) and Euardo Chavero Hernadez (third place).
Scholarship money was provided by the Ruth E. Johnson Scholarship Fund.
Congratulations to all the students for their major accomplishments.
