Blessed Trinity Students Travel Back to Victorian Period

’s middle school teacher, Jeff Boyle, created an innovative opportunity for literature to come alive. As a final project for his "A Christmas Carol" unit, eighth-graders planned, created and attended a Victorian England style party, dressed as a character from the book Feb. 24.

Student gentlemen escorted ladies to their seats in the social hall and served them refreshments. Parlor games were played and then everyone lined up to dance the Reel and Quadrille. Gentlemen and ladies engaged in the dance along to Victorian era music. Throughout the event, the etiquette committee ensured proper etiquette was observed throughout the party.
