U10 Boys on a Roll!
The Dakota REV (Rosemount/Eastview) is the latest soccer club to fall to defeat to RSA's U10 boys. A combination of aggressive offense, unselfish teamwork and stingy defense helped propel our U10 boys to a 6-0 victory at Taft Park on Thursday evening.
Leading the offensive assault was Nathan Munsinger with a 3-goal performance. Jacob Bach-Dowd added two goals and Oliver Castillo's header off a corner kick added one more. Alex Clarity and Mateio Scott shared goaltending duties to preserve the shut out. The team's record now stands at 7-1-2.
Next games for the U10 Boys are June 24 at Burnsville and June 25 at Taft Park.
U12 Boys Win a Nail-biter!
A tightly contested, deadlocked match turned into a victory for RSA's U12 Boys over the South Metro Futbol (Farmington) Club when Alex Sanchez's shot found the back of the net in the final minute of regulation. Sanchez's goal secured a 2-1 win for the hometown squad and evens their record to 3-3.
Eric Rosas got the scoring started for Richfield in the first half. South Metro tied the game early in the second half, 1-1, until Sanchez's game-winner late in the match. Goalkeeper, Aidan Zent, stood tall between the pipes down the stretch to give the home town team the opportunity to seal the victory late.
The next games for the U12 Boys are on June 18 at Donaldson Park as they host Eagan and on June 20 at Winona.
