Richfield Readers' Choice: Best Park

Richfield Patch's feature returns with a twist. This time, we want you to tell us what should be voted on.

What’s the best place in Richfield to enjoy a little piece of the great outdoors right in your neighborhood?

Does your favorite park offer winding walking paths? Or does it have a playground that gives children hours of fun and enjoyment on a beautiful summer day? Does it enable you to relax and be active at the same time?

What is the perfect park near where you live?

Nominate your favorite parks in the comments below.

We will take nominations starting this week. Nominations end July 9 and voting will run from July 23 to Aug. 17.

Veterans Memorial Park, hands down! Pool, park, awesome walking path, pavilion, mini golf. What more could they have?

Can argue with Vets! But, I'll go ahead and nominated Fremont Park. It's where I played when I was a kid and it's tucked away in a neighborhood, making it a safe place to play - away from a lot of traffic.

I agree with Veterans, but I also like Augsburg.

I like the Monroe Field/Fairwood Park combo. Say, your next poll should be best places to volunteer. I am looking to become more active in the community and this could be a great way to learn some organizations!

We vote for Augsburg Park with the beautiful oak trees, tennis courts, ice skating, walking trail, and a great library!
