Slocum to Receive Racial Justice Champion Award—Again
House Rep. Linda Slocum will receive another award for her work in addressing racial equality.
State Rep. Linda Slocum (D-Richfield) will receive a Racial Justice Champion Award, after scoring an "A" on her Racial Equity Report Card from the Organizing Apprenticeship Project.
Slocum was named a champion for sponsoring, co-sponsoring and supporting legislation in 2011 that would have had a positive impact on racial disparities in education, health, or the economic status of communities of color.
and has received an "A" rating since 2008.
