After Minnesota House panel rejected the proposed public subsidy package for a new Vikings stadium late Monday night, the Senate Committee on Local Government and Elections will hear the three more bills around 10:30 a.m. today.

The Vikings have long threatened to leave the state if a new stadium isn't built and that the legislature should act "prudently and responsibly to keep the team." However, Thissen also said it was important to negotiate the best deal for Minnesotans—not the Vikings.
