Chris Fields: After Tuesday's Primary, 'It's On'

After seeing that a few thousand of his supporters made it to the polls Tuesday night, —the Republican challenger to Fifth District incumbent Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN)—felt the day had been a victory.

First at a reception Tuesday night, and later in an email letter, Fields gave the following speech:

Thank you!  I need to start out tonight by thanking people who are important in my life - my parents - Hi Mom and Dad, and my wife Christa.
 
I also need to thank each and every Freedom and Liberty loving American here this evening.

I have two words to say about tonight’s victory:  IT’S ON!

This combat tested Marine has been commissioned to fight in this battle.

It is a battle to restore America- to rid this town of the political prejudice that runs so deep it has completely choked the American Spirit.

And it’s a battle to Retire Keith Maurice Ellison from the People’s House.

IT’S ON.

I will take the lead because I believe in each and every one of you.

As I have listened to you I have learned that you get it.

It is now my job to ensure that they get it.

What the Washington establishment fails to understand is that we are tired of being sick and tired.

What they don’t get is that we will not stand for more corporate bailouts.

These bailouts are not placed on the nation’s credit card - these bailouts are placed on the backs of hardworking Americans like the ones I see here tonight.

What they don’t get is that we are done with the fighting in Washington.

These fights produce nothing more than legislation rammed down the throats of the American people and regurgitated by the Supreme Court.

And yes, Obamacare is part of the mess that we must clean up.  If I elected I will vote to repeal Obamacare.  It wasn’t ready for primetime then and it serves too few now.

What the Washington establishment doesn’t get is that we want full accountability and that means a full and complete audit of the Federal Reserve.

What they don’t get is that this year it is not about being a Liberal, Democrat, Republican, or Conservative. 

It is about being AWARE!

Aware of the fact that we are 15 trillion dollars in the hole.

Aware of the fact that we have a structural deficit of over 1 trillion dollars a year.

Aware of the fact that even if we took every dime the 1 percent makes we would still be drowning in a sea of debt.

Aware of the fact the Federal government has a spending problem, a management problem, a problem telling the truth and a problem listening to Americans!

Washington has the problem and We The People have the solution.

When we look around all of our institutions are failing us:

Colleges and Universities are piling tons of student loan debt onto the next generation so that professors and staff can keep their bloated pensions and benefits and pursue hobbies they call research. 

They have gone to such great lengths to protect this transfer of wealth from us to them that they looked the other way in the case of Jerry Sandusky.  

Our media has failed the American people.

What was once an institution that informed us has now become an institution that deceives us.

The media have allowed Washington politicians to bake lies and deceit into the American pie.

Keith Ellison was on the Al McFarlane show a few weeks ago said the reason he spends so much time talking about issues in the Middle East is because he’s on the foreign relations committee.

He isn’t and he was never called out for that bold face lie.

Look at the City Pages- instead of spending time to trying to tear someone down with smirky story headlines, why not use their God-given talents to truly inform the people?

They could inform the workers of American Crystal Sugar that Keith Ellison has said many times that he stands with them.

In fact he said this of American Crystal Sugar right on the floor of the House:

He said that the workers had been ‘denied the basic and most fundamental right to work and support their families’ by American Crystal Sugar.

He said that just before he picked up a check for thousands for his campaign from American Crystal Sugar.

Keith Ellison is swimming in a sea of hypocrisy and its not reported because the media has failed us.

And while it maybe easy for a Republican to take a shot a City Pages… the truth is that the other media outlets in this town have also decided that you aren’t worth informing.

They say this race isn’t that interesting.  They must want us to continue being represented by a serial hypocrite and a liar.

Our banks have failed because they decided that it is in their best interest to keep our money away from us.

They have closed ranks and decided their future is dependent on secrecy.

They don’t want the Fed audited and Keith Ellison doesn’t want it either.

It just might time to end the Fed!

Who pays for the failures of our institutions?  We do. 

Our homes are worth less but we pay more in taxes.

At this rate our children will have a bleaker future.

Our veterans pay with their blood because they fight in unconstitutional wars.

Our seniors pay because they have been sold a bill of goods and now they can only watch as they struggle and their children struggle.

Our minority communities pay the price because they are left alone to languish.  

All of us pay because we don’t have a government that treats us like Free-Born American citizens.  

At this rate America won’t look like anything we recognize in a few years… unless we act now!

These failures undermine our unalienable right to live free!

To everyone here tonight we must agree on this:  Our Rights and this America are worth fighting for!
