UPDATE: Cause of Logan Avenue House Fire Can't Be Determined

The house and garage was consumed by flames on Sunday, Sept. 2.

The cause of the is unable to be determined, according to Chief Wayne Kewitsch.

"The point of origin was inside a garbage can that was adjacent to the house,' Kewitsch told Richfield Patch in an e-mail. "Unfortunately we are unable to determine what was in the can that might have started the fire."

While the exact cause is unknown, Kewitsch said were definitely aerosol cans exploding in the fire.

Deb Nelson and her daughters, Tali and Mikayla Walton, along with their two dogs lived in the home. The two pets were in the home when the fire began and, while one was rescued and revived, .

A online relief fund for the family has been created and others in the community have taken it upon themselves to help. As of 10:15 a.m. Monday, $1,530 had been raised between 55 donors. To donate, go to indiegogo.com/debandthegirls.
