Updated: Third Victim Not Stabbed in Richfield

Police are still investigating the incident.

Richfield Police have determined that the third stabbing victim was not involved in the Richfield incident today, Friday. It appears that the third victim, though related to one of the Richfield stabbing victims, was stabbed in Minneapolis the previous night.

It appears that the third victim, though related to one of the Richfield stabbing victims, was stabbed in Minneapolis the previous night.

responded to a triple stabbing at 7338 Elliot Avenue South in Richfield at around noon Friday.

Police located two of the stabbing victims at the scene. One male victim was deceased at the scene. A second female victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) with non-life threatening stab wounds. A third male victim was located at HCMC with non-life threatening stab wounds.

All three victims are related. Names and ages of victims are not being released at this time.

This is an on-going investigation and at this time police do not believe there is any danger to the public.

Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is assisting Richfield Police in the investigation.
