Richfield Police Blotter: Six Businesses Get Busted For Selling Tobacco to Minors

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from Richfield Public Safety Department's Incident and Arrest Reports from April 25. The reports detail incidents that occurred between April 21 and April 24.

Six local gas stations and establishments did not pass tobacco compliance check April 23 after selling tobacco to decoy minors sent in by Richfield officers. A total of 26 businesses were checked that day.

The following businesses did not pass:

  • on 2913 W. 66th St.;
  • on 6715 Lake Shore Dr. S.;
  • on 7500 Lyndale Ave. S.;
  • on 7720 Nicollet Ave. S.;
  • on 12 W. 66th St.;
  • Marthon Gas Station on 7744 12th Ave. S.

All businesses with the exception of Marathon were first time offenders and will be fined $200. Marathon will be fined $400, get a two-day suspension of tobacco sales and will be required to appear before the Richfield City Council.

Police are investigating a robbery involving entertainment devices that occurred April 21.

A 21-year-old Richfied man was charged with DUI April 21.

A 32-year-old Eden Prairie, MN woman was charged with DUI April 21.

Police are investigating a property damage incident that occurred on the 7100 block of Cedar Avenue April 22.

Police are investigating a theft that occurred on the 800 block of 65th Street West April 22.

Police are investigating a theft from a vehicle on the 800 block of 65th Street West April 22.

Police are investigating a theft that occurred on the 6900 block of Lyndale Avenue April 22.

An adult was charged with driving after license revocation April 22.

Police are investigating an identity theft incident that occurred April 22.

Police are investigating a domestic assault that occurred on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue April 22.

A juvenile was charged with shoplifting April 22.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the 900 block of 78th Street East April 22.

Police are investigating a domestic assault that occurred on the 500 block of 66th Street East April 22.

Police are investigating a property damage incident that occurred on April 22.

A 55-year-old Richfield woman was charged with DWI April 22.

Police impounded an animal April 23.

Police are investigating the theft of a motor vehicle from the 7300 block of Aldrich Avenue on April 23.

Police are investigating a shoplifting incident from a business on the 6200 block of Penn Avenue April 23.

Police responded to a suicide attempt April 23.

Police are investigating an assault that occurred on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue April 24.

An adult was charged with having an expired vehicle registration April 24.
