Richfield Police Blotter: Multiple Thefts Reported Throughout City

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Incident and Arrest Reports from July 28, detailing incidents from July 24-27.

Police cited a vehicle and cited the driver for possession of drug paraphernalia and marijuana possession July 24.

Police responded to a violation of an order of protection call July 24. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody.

Police charged an individual with tampering with a motor vehicle July 24.

Police responded to a report of an “out of control individual” on the 7200 block of 13th Avenue July 24. The suspect was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Two adults were charged with robbery July 24.

A woman reported that $4.50 in change had been taken from her unlocked vehicle July 24. While there was no damage to the vehicle, the woman wanted to report the crime for statistical purposes.

A man reported that check blanks were stolen from his Dodge pick-up July 24. Interestingly, a $300 GPS and a $300 pair of sunglasses as well as several tools were left behind.

Richfield Police responded to Turnstyle Consignment July 24 on an alarm and found that the back door handle was broken. There didn’t appear to be any loss.

A pizza delivery driver reported an armed robbery July 24. Her cell phone and car were taken from her.

A man was charged with possession of dangerous weapons July 25.

Police investigated six thefts from vehicle incidents July 25.

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred on the 90 block of 77th Street West July 25.

A woman reported that an unknown suspect broke out her car’s passenger side window July 25. There are no suspects or witnesses.

Two bikes valued at $210 were stolen in the night out of a garage on the 2000 block of Forrest Drive July 25.

Nearly $2,000 worth of electronics were taken from a home on the 7300 block of Stevens Avenue July 25.

A $500 bike was taken from a garage on the 6600 block of 5th Avenue July 26.

Police are investigating an identity theft incident from July 26.

Police are investigating a criminal damage to property incident in which an unknown suspect kicked in the door of a residence and then fled the area July 26.

Police are investigating a theft from vehicle incident from July 26.

Police responded to the 7000 block of Columbus Avenue on a report of a female wielding a knife July 26.  When Police arrived she exited the home without a knife and denied ever having one.

Police investigated three other criminal property damage incidents July 26.

A Richfield man’s social security number was reportedly used by an unknown individual to obtain at least three different jobs. The IRS contacted the victim and advised him to contact local police.

A suspect was charged with tampering July 27 and was also in possession of items stolen in another incident.

A man was assaulted and robbed of $178 in cash by someone he knew along with two other parties July 27.

Police investigated a domestic assault incident in which an 18-year-old alleged that her 16-year-old brother assaulted her July 27.

Police are investigating an incident in which three individuals assaulted a person July 27. The suspects have not yet been located.
