It seems that way! Police also told one victim to be checking Ebay or other sites to see if the items show up on there. I ran another article earlier in the summer about a RIchfield man who got caught selling stolen merchandise via the Internet. Maybe something will turn up!

This last Monday morning, I opened up my passenger door and noticed some items from the glove box laying on the floor. Maybe one night in a thousand, I forget to lock my car. And when I go golfing, I pull out one check card and then put my billfold in the center council. And maybe one day in a hundred, I forget to take out my billfold. Well those two extremes overlapped Sunday night/Monday morning. My billfold was stolen. After the Police left, I walked up and down my alley checking between garages and in the neighbor's trash containers. As I opened one, I looked up and my neighbor was sitting in the backyard having coffee. I explained to her that it wasn't what it looked like and I was just looking for my billfold. I know, it was my own fault. I called and canceled my credit cards immediately and was surprised to find no activity. I did have some old pictures in the billfold along with my original 1968 Control Data ID card. So I consider this a learning experience.

Yeah it makes you wonder how many times your car handle has been jingled to see if it's open!
