Richfield Police Blotter: Assaults, Disturbances and Drugs

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department’s Crime Reports from Oct. 24, detailing incidents from Oct. 16-19.

Police were dispatched to a domestic assault situation at 6700 block of 10th Avenue South. Both parties were intoxicated and mutually combative. The suspect was sent from the scene by cab to her home around 2:30 a.m. on Oct. 16.

On Oct. 16, a victim reported that someone had slashed four tires on his vehicle, stating that a possible suspect could be his ex-girlfriend. 

An in-dash stereo and subwoofer were taken from a red Mitsubishi Eclipse on the 7700 block of Wentworth Avenue South on Oct. 16.

On Oct. 17, police reported a man making racial slurs to two black females at the McDonalds drive-thru at 6645 Lyndale Avenue South.

Officers noted an apartment complex where narcotics were located after a dog alerted them at a door seam on the 6300 block of Pleasant Avenue South on Oct. 17.

A juvenile male got into a minor physical altercation with his parents on the 7200 block of Harriet Avenue South on Oct. 17.

Two bicycles were stolen after being placed outside for sale at the 7500 block of Chicago Avenue South.

Police responded to an assault on the 7700 block of Penn Avenue South on the afternoon of Oct. 17.

There was a theft from a car on the 700 block of 78 Street East on Oct. 17. The victim believed the stolen car stereo was worth $300.

A victim reported her phone was stolen at school on the morning of Oct. 18.

A citation was given after police found a baggie with a small amount of marijuana on the 7400 block of Lyndale Avenue. South.

There was damage to a car console after someone tried to remove a stereo from an unlocked vehicle on 78th street East.

Officers stopped two passengers who were not wearing their seat belts on 78th and Portland Avenue. The officer reported a strong odor of burnt marijuana, and subsequently found .3 grams of suspected marijuana and a pipe.

A 36-year-old male continues to disturb neighbors of 75th and Colfax Avenue South.

An MP3 player worth $96.99 was stolen from Target on 6445 Richfield Parkway on Oct. 19.

Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on 77th street and 12 Avenue South.

Officers were dispatched to a domestic assault between a mother and daughter on the 600 block of 77 Street East on Oct. 19. The daughter was taken to jail for 2nd degree assault.

Police were dispatched to an aggravated robbery of a pizza delivery man in the area of 63rd street and Lyndale. The suspects were not located.
