Richfield Mothers Reports Son for Marijuana Possession

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

March 29

  • A vehicle owner reported that an unknown person broke off the driver's side windshield wiper and bent the passenger side wiper, causing an estimated $100 in damage.
  • A 33-year-old Minnetrista man and a 42-year-old Minneapolis man were charged with disorderly conduct for fighting in the area of 66th Street and Portland Avenue.
  • A man was charged with violating an order of protection.
  • , 7500 Lyndale Avenue, reported a gas theft.
  • A 20-year-old Bloomington man was charged with shoplifting from .
  • reported that three suspects walked out with tools with an estimated value of $1,800 without paying for them. An employee was sprayed with mace when she tried to detain the suspects.

March 30

  • Two tires and rims were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 800 block of 66th Street.
  • A 33-year-old Richfield man was charged with third-degree DWI.
  • A burglary was reported at a commercial property on the 6900 block of Nicollet Avenue.
  • Two windows were reported broken by a homeowner on the 6600 block of Russell Avenue.
  • A 19-year-old St. Paul man was charged with drug paraphernalia possession.
  • Police responded to a shoplifting call at Sports Authority. The suspect was in custody there after allegedly attempting to steal a baseball glove.
  • A rear vehicle license plate was reported missing from a vehicle parked on the 7500 block of Cedar Avenue.
  • An argument between a couple resulted in the accidental breaking of an exterior door. Police separated them for the night, however, the couple agreed to attempt to work things out.

March 31

  • An unknown suspect smashed out two apartment building windows on the 6300 block of Lyndale Avenue.
  • A mother reported her son to be in possession of marijuana. While the son wasn't present when police arrived, two pipes and a small amount of marijuana was found.
  • Two women were cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a second disturbance call at the residence.
  • A suspect was taken into custody for violating an order of protection.
