According to court documents, police followed Pesheck on Feb. 6 as he left his Richfield home, drove to Eden Prairie, parked in the driveway of a home and left the vehicle. A few minutes later, the garage door opened, and Pesheck drove inside and closed the door.

After a few more minutes, while police continued to watch the home, the garage door opened again and Pesheck drove away. According to the complaint, officers found a back door on the home pried open and some wires cut; the homeowner was contacted and told police that jewelry, laptop computers and a flat-screen television were missing.

When police tracked down Pesheck shortly after the burglary, they found the missing items in his car, along with burglary tools including a pry bar, three pairs of gloves, a pair of wire cutters and a pair of needle-nosed pliers, according to court documents.

Later that day, authorities executed a search warrant on Pesheck’s Richfield apartment, located in the 500 block of East 66th Street, and recovered dozens of items that were reported or suspected stolen from homes in Chaska, Deephaven, Edina, Lakeville, Eden Prairie and Carver County.

According to documents, among the recovered items were more than 40 watches, numerous pieces of jewelry and jewelry boxes, an acoustic guitar, a number of digital and video cameras, two snowmobile helmets, several coin banks, various laptop computers, cell phones, 22 sterling silver knives, two candelabras and a silver chalice with Hebrew writing on it, sheets and bags of silver coins, more than a dozen miscellaneous purses and wallets and a 1985 Kirby Puckett rookie baseball card.

Police also found assorted drug paraphernalia, including syringes and a bag containing an unknown white substance.

Most of the items were recovered from Pesheck’s bedroom, according to the search warrant.

Pesheck remains in the Hennepin County Jail on a $150,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 22 in Hennepin County District Court.
