Richfield Hosts Delegates from Israel, Palestine Looking to Learn About JCPP

Delegates arrive in Richfield to learn about the Joint Community Police Partnership.

The welcomed delegates from Israel and Palestine who wanted to learn more about the Joint Community Police Partnership (JCPP) , according to Amy Dusek, community liaison for the department.

The JCPP is a partnership involving the Police Departments of Richfield, Hopkins, Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park, Hennepin County and Northwest Hennepin Human Services Council. The mission of the JCPP is to enhance communication and understanding between law enforcement officers and multicultural residents of these cities.

Delegation heard a presentation about JCPP from Richfield Public Safety's Lt. Jay Henthorne and Dusek, before moving on to an interactive pannel session and Q&A session with the delegation. The panel included: Henthorne, Richfield Police Cadet Orlando Zabala, Hopkins Police Multicultural Advisory Committee member Rosemaris Campos, Brooklyn Park Police Sergeant *Greg Burstad, Brooklyn Center Police Community Liaison Monique Drier, and Richfield Crime Prevention Specialist Jill Mecklenburg.
