According to the complaint, when officers checked Bolden’s record, they learned that he was listed as a noncompliant predatory offender, meaning that he had failed to let authorities know where he was living, as required by law.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension reported that Bolden had been deemed noncompliant as of June 25. Authorities believed that he was living at an address in Minneapolis, however, Bolden told police he became homeless on April 23 and had rented an apartment in the 7700 block of Wentworth Avenue in Richfield on July 1, according to the complaint.

Bolden’s criminal record includes convictions for making terroristic threats in 2008, violating a no-contact order in 2008 and second-degree burglary in 2009.

Bolden remains in the Hennepin County Jail on a $5,000 bond. An omnibus hearing in his case is scheduled Aug. 29 in Hennepin County District Court.
