Police: 16th Avenue Shooting Under Investigation

The following is the Richfield Public Safety Department's full press release regarding the Saturday afternoon shooting on the 6900 block of 16th Avenue South.

On June 8, 2013 at 1640 hours Richfield Police responded to a house in the 6900 block of 16th Ave on a shots fired call.

Upon arrival, officers entered the house.  The victim was located in the house.  The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  Richfield Rescue personnel and Hennepin County paramedics administered CPR.  The 20 year old male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  The identity of the victim is not being released at this time.

Five individuals were taken into custody.  At this time, Richfield Police are not looking for any additional suspects and there is no danger to community.
