Man Threatens To Detonate Bomb In Richfield Police Department

Bomb sniffing dogs from the Minneapolis St. Paul Airport Police Department were brought in Tuesday night, however, nothing was found.

The received a little scare Tuesday night after an unknown man called in a bomb threat around 8 p.m.

According to police records, police received a call at 8:01 p.m. July 31 from an unknown male who said there was a bomb located in the police department and he was going to detonate it.

Two groups of workers, police dispatch and Richfield firefighters, were in the building at the time, however, no one was evacauted.

Bomb sniffing dogs from the Minneaplis-St. Paul Airport Police Department were brought in to survey the building, however, no bomb was discovered. The and Public Safety departments were also involved in the search efforts.
