Richfield Police Investigating Thursday Night Shooting
Richfield Police responded to a reported shooting near the 30 block of West 78th Street just before 10 p.m. Thursday night.
A male was transported to HCMC Thursday night after being shot near the 30 block of West 78th Street just before 10 p.m.
According to Lt. Jay Henthorne, Richfield Public Safety dispatch received a report of a shooting at 9:48 p.m. The call was placed from the 30 block of West 78th Street, however, after receiving additional calls the male shooting victim was located at Super America, 7720 Nicollet Ave. S.
Henthorne said the victim was transported to HCMC in stable condition. The name and age of the victim, as well as the location of the injury could not be released to the public at this time.

The incident is an open investigation and while a suspect wasn't located when police arrived, Henthorne said the department is following up on some leads.
