Lost 6-Year-Old, Shoplifting & Fights: Police Blotter

All the following information was taken from Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from July 8, 2013. Below are the incidents from July 3-5.

July 3

• A license plate was reportedly stolen from a car parked near 76th Street East and Chicago Avenue.
• Prescription drugs were reportedly stolen from the 7700 block of Lyndale Avenue sometime over the weekend.
• Police responded to a robbery on the 10 block of 66th Street West. An adult male was located and arrested.
• An vehicle passenger was arrested for giving a false name to an officer and an outstanding warrant after police stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation.

• Police responded to a report of a fight on the 6700 block of 2nd Avenue. Four suspects fled the scene; three were located and issued citations.
• Several victims reported being threatened or robbed at gunpoint on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue. The victims did not know the acquaintances in common with him. The suspect was not located.
• A small amount of marijuana was located on a suspect at Veterans Memorial Park.

• A victim reported that two suspects attacked her on near 72nd Street East and Cedar Avenue. The suspects were located and issued citations.
• Police responded to a theft report on the 800 block of 66th Street West. The victim said that a male stole his TV and iPod from his residence.
• A victim reported that a known suspect stole her phone.
• Police responded to an altercation near 66th Street West and Pleasant Avenue. An adult male was issued a citation.
• A 6-year-old child who was lost was brought to the police station and later transported to St. Joe's after all attempts to locate the mother were unsuccessful. 
• Police responded to a report of a protection order violation.
• Police responded to a shoplifting incident in progress at Sports Authority. Two males were arrested for shoplifting more than $1,000 in merchandise.
• Police responded to a protection order violation on the 1300 block of 78th Street East. An adult male was arrested.
