Deb Nelson and her two daughters, Tali and Mikayla Walton, now need some help putting the pieces back together. And Spencer Erickson, a Richfield native and former classmate of Tali Walton, has put together a fundraising webpage on Indiegogo.com to help.

"Richfield is a community of strength, giving, and caring," Erickson wrote in the fund's description. "In that spirit, I have created this campaign to help the Nelsons/Waltons cope with such a huge loss."

While investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire, it appears that it originated in the detached garage and spread to the house. Both the garage and the home are a total loss, according to Richfield Fire Chief Wayne Kewitsch.

Those interested in helping the Nelson/Walton family can donate in any amount through Erickson's "Support Deb and the Girls!" fundraising page.

"Although no amount of money can remove the pain that they must feel in the face of such huge loss," Erickson wrote. "The knowledge that their community and neighbors are here to support them, however they choose to, must surely be comforting."

To give to the fund, go to indiegogo.com/debandthegirls. As of 5 p.m. Tuesday, $230 had been donated. The goal is $5,000.
