Fleeing Police, Slashed Tires & Restraining Order Violations: Police Blotter

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from June 13, 2013, detailing incidents from June 9-12.

June 9

  • A victim reported that two vehicle tires had been slashed overnight.
  • Police responded to a burglary on the 7300 block of 18th Avenue. A laptop worth $1,000 was reported stolen.
  • Police responded to a damage to a vehicle report on the 7500 block of Colfax Avenue. Damage was estimated at $500.
  • A 39-year-old Inver Grove Heights woman was arrested for fourth-degree DWI and property damage after she reportedly drove over a street sign and onto a curb while intoxicated.
  • Police took a report of a restraining order violation. The victim received a phone call from the person she had an order against.
  • Police took a shoplifting report from a business on the 6500 block of Penn Avenue. The suspect left the area in a vehicle.
  • Police responded to a disorderly conduct report on the 7300 block of 18th Avenue.
June 10
  • Police took a report of a vehicle window being broken in on the 1300 block of 78th Street East. The dash was also tampered with, however, nothing was missing.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen from the 7400 block of Oliver Avenue.
  • A van was damaged with spray paint on the 1200 block of 66th Street East. The amount of damage is $500.
  • An iPod was reported stolen from Richfield High School. A student placed it in a teacher's office and it was missing when he returned after class.
June 11
  • A victim reported that a male broke into her residence while she was sleeping. The male was located and arrested.
  • Police took a report of fraudulent purchases being made with a company card by an employee who had been terminated.
  • Police responded to a protection order violation near 10th Avenue and 76th Street East.
  • Hub Hobby reported that two suspects entered the store, with on picking up a radio operated vehicle and then ran from the store. Both left in an older, gold colored Cadillac.
  • Graffiti was found on the roof of a business on the 6300 block of Penn Avenue.
June 12
  • Police responded to a burglary on the 6200 block of Penn Avenue and a report of a male with a gun. A male and female were located and arrested when police arrived.
  • Police responded to a report of damage to a vehicle on the 40 block of 78th Street West. An adult male was located and arrested. The damage to the vehicle is estimated at $250.
  • Police responded to a report of a protection order violation. When police arrived on the scene a vehicle with the alleged suspect inside was located. The vehicle fled and a short time later officers were called and told where the vehicle was parked. The suspect was found and arrested.
