UPDATE: Fire Destroys Logan Avenue Home, Damages Another

While one pet died in the fire, one was revived and all human occupants made it out safe.

The received the call just before 3 p.m. Sunday with a report that three humans and two pets were possibly trapped in a home on Logan, which is near the Best Buy corporate headquarters and .

According to KSTP, by the time firefighters arrived all humans had made it safely from the home, however, two dogs were still inside. told press Sunday that one dog had been resuscitated while another died.

Richfield Patch contributor and resident David Haines was on the scene Sunday and said another home was damaged by the fire. KSTP and Police Clips reported that witnesses heard what sounded like an explosion coming from the garage, however, officials haven't determined the cause of the fire yet.

The home where the fire originated was completely engulfed in flames and spread to the home next door, causing significant damage. The home is a total loss. Smoke could reportedly be seen up to 20 miles away.
