Erratic Driver, Meth & Burglary: Police Blotter

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime report.

All the following information was taken from the Richfield Public Safety Department's crime reports from May 13, 2013, detailing incidents from May 9-11.

May 9

  • After police responded to a 911 hang-up call on the 7600 block of Cedar Avenue, one of the parties was found in possession of narcotics and arrested.
  • A 49-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for disorderly conduct after shoplifting various items fromSuper America, 7720 Nicollet Ave. S. He was reportedly extremely intoxicated and cited for the shoplifting offense.
  • Super America, 826 W. 66th St., reported a gas theft of $53.03.
  • Power tools worth $1,580 were reported stolen from a van parked on the 6400 block of 2nd Avenue.
  • A victim reported a fraud after receiving phone calls stating the victim had one various prised and checks. The caller requested funds to release the prizes.

May 10

  • Police responded to a noise complaint on the 7600 block of Penn Avenue. Two adults were arrested.
  • Police responded to a garage burglary on the 2900 block of Washburn Circle. Two bikes valued at $507 were taken.

May 11

  • A window was broken out on a vehicle parked on near 63rd Street West and Pleasant Avenue. An adult female was cited.
  • Police responded to a burglary report on the 2700 block of 66th Street West. Various keys to apartments were stolen.
  • A driver was arrested on a warrant and for possessing narcotics after being stopped by police.
  • Police responded to a burglary on the 2700 block of West 66th Street. A mechanical room was broken into. Nothing was thought to be missing at this time.
  • A set of golf clubs were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on the 6200 block of Vincent Avenue. The estimated loss was $860
  • A 28-year-old Apple Valley woman was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and driving after license suspension.
  • Officers responded to a report of an erratic driver on the 7100 block of Augsburg Avenue. The vehicle was located in the driveway of the registered address and the driver in the vehicle was taken into custody for DWI. The driver later refused to provide a test.
