Police Blotter: Kids Chief in Little Bob's Park, Shoplifting & Assault

The Richfield Public Safety Department releases its most recent crime reports.

All the following information was taken from the 's Incident and Arrest reports from April 30, 2012 detailing incidents from April 26-28.

April 26

  • A 35-year-old Minneapolis man was charged with giving a false name to an officer.
  • Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on the 7300 block of Elliott Avenue.
  • A credit card was reported stolen from an apartment on the 6400 block of Pleasant Avenue.
  • A 32-year-old Golden Valley man was charged with disordering conduct after a Hub Shopping Center security guard was reportedly threatened by the man claiming to have a gun. No gun was found.
  • A 41-year-old Plum City man was cited for shoplifting after he attempted to take a pair of Nike shoes from .
  • A woman reported that her credit card had been used by an unknown person in California to make three fradulent transactions.
  • A driver was issued a citation for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession after being stopped by police.

April 27

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance on the 7200 block of Cedar Avenue. The male suspect caused a small laceration to the female victim's face during an argument and was subsequently taken into custody.
  • Police took a report of an assault on the 7000 block of Cedar Avenue.
  • Two juveniles were spotted smoking marijuana in . One ran from police, while the other was cited for marijuana possession.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on the 7200 block of Portland Avenue.
  • Two parties got into a verbal altercation that escalated to threats on the 7700 block of Penn Avenue. No physical contact was made.
  • reported a theft. The suspect was gone when police arrived.
